Sky Media LegacyThis Privacy Policy explains how Sky Legacy Media LLC, doing business as Sky Media Legacy ("we," "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit skymedialegacy.com (the "Site"), request a free score, book a call, buy a service or email us, and when we contact you about our services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Score requests: your company website, work email and first name, and optionally a one-line description of what you sell, your industry and up to 3 competitors.
- Call requests: your name, work email, company website, the topic you want to discuss and any notes you add.
- Scheduling: when you book a call, Calendly collects the details you enter there, including your name, email, the time you choose and your answers to booking questions.
- Purchases: when you buy a service, Stripe collects your name, business name, email, billing details, payment card information and any checkout questions (such as your company website and competitors). We receive your contact details, checkout answers and transaction details. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Correspondence: anything you send us by email, such as competitors, buyer questions or feedback.
Information collected automatically:
- Server logs. Our website host records standard technical information when you load the Site, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and date and time.
- Form checks. To confirm a website and email domain are real, the Site sends the domain names you enter (for example, "yourcompany.com," not the rest of your email address) to public DNS lookup services operated by Cloudflare and Google.
- Fonts and embedded tools. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and, when you book a call, the Calendly scheduler. These providers receive your IP address and browser information when they load.
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on the Site, and the Site itself does not set cookies. Embedded or linked third-party services, such as Calendly and Stripe checkout, may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Public business information. To prepare scores and reviews, we analyze publicly available information about the websites you submit and their competitors. This is business information about websites, not personal information about you.
Prospects we contact. We may obtain business contact details (such as name, work email, job title and company) from public sources and business data providers, and use them to send individual business outreach, which may include a free score for your company. We do this based on our legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses. Every outreach email identifies us and includes a way to opt out. To be removed, reply or email ethan@skymedialegacy.com and we will add your address to a do-not-contact list so you are not contacted again.
2. How we use information
- To prepare and deliver your free score, Review or other services, and to schedule and hold calls.
- To process payments, issue refunds, keep business and tax records and prevent fraud.
- To reply to your messages and send a small number of follow-up emails about your request, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To contact businesses that may benefit from our services, as described above, and to honor opt-out requests.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site and our services, including using anonymized, aggregated observations.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information on these legal bases: to perform a contract with you or take steps you request before one (for example, preparing a score you asked for); our legitimate interests in running and promoting our business, which we balance against your rights; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, under their own terms and privacy commitments:
- Formspree, to receive form submissions and send them to us by email.
- Stripe, to process payments and refunds.
- Calendly, to schedule calls.
- Our email and website hosting providers, to send and receive email and serve the Site.
- Google and Cloudflare, for fonts and DNS lookups as described above.
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
5. Email communications
Emails about your score, call or purchase come from ethan@skymedialegacy.com. Follow-up emails include a way to opt out, and you can opt out at any time by replying or emailing us. We will honor opt-outs promptly. Transactional emails about a purchase may still be sent.
6. How long we keep information
- Leads (score and call requests that did not lead to a purchase): up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Prospects we contacted: up to 24 months after our last contact. If you opt out, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so we can honor your request.
- Customers: for as long as needed to provide services and, for transaction and tax records, up to 7 years, as required by law.
- Reports we prepare for you: for the duration of our relationship and up to 24 months afterward, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
7. Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you follow-up emails, by emailing ethan@skymedialegacy.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.
- EEA and UK: you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
- California: you can request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, and its deletion or correction, and you will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
- Do Not Track: because the Site does not track you across other websites, it does not respond differently to Do Not Track signals.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Children
The Site and our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
